We decorated every room in the house! And I found that it’s incredibly fun to branch out and think of little ways to add a little Christmas to every room.

Christmas Trees in a Bedroom

A Christmas tree in your bedroom is the coziest addition!

Falling asleep to the glow of a Christmas tree is just such a lovely experience. We put our trees on timers so that we don’t ever have to think about turning them on and off.

Our silver tree was a rescue that I found in an alley and restrung with fresh lights, but here’s a similar one!

We also have mini trees in the kids’ rooms, which is a great way for them to be able to display all of their special ornaments and things that they’ve made over the years.

These little 4′ trees are the perfect height for kids and you can get them in fun colors like white or pink.

Adding More Christmas Decor to a Bedroom

Aside from a Christmas tree in the bedroom, you can add little touches of holiday decor around in such simple ways!

Bottlebrush trees or nostalgic Christmas figurines are an easy thing to tuck among your bookshelves or on a dresser.

If you have a Frame TV, you can add holiday or winter art to it for a super fast decor enhancement.

In a kids’ room, you can set out their Christmas art and drawings, or their favorite holiday-themed stuffed animals. You can even add little scarves or hats to stuffies to make them a little extra festive.

Ways to Add Holiday Bedding at Christmas

Adjusting your bedding a little during the holidays makes everything feel special!

No need to buy an entirely new sheet set or duvet. Just add a holiday pillow or an extra throw blanket and it can shift the look of your bedding.

I also love adding lots of textures around the holidays to make bedding feel more luxe – velvet, woven blankets, and fleece are all great examples.

Decorating a Kid’s Room at Christmas

We love letting the kids have lots of say in what goes into their rooms at Christmas!

Our son wanted to display all of his holiday LEGO sets, while our daughter wanted as much pink Christmas decor as possible.

Letting them choose and help with the decorations really maximizes the joy of decorating a kids’ room.
