Champagne Cocktails

I love champagne cocktails! And since you’re opening a bottle of bubbles, you might as well get a few more ideas of how you might be able to use it.

Adding champagne to a cocktail brings that fizzy feel and a crisp flavor that’s hard to achieve otherwise. You might love this prosecco cocktail, or even this Old Cuban.

Champagne feels so celebratory, especially around the holidays.

Serving Poinsettia Cocktails for the Holidays

While other warming cocktails like the Cozy Cab or a Hot Toddy are great holiday choices, those drinks feel more like a cozy evening on the couch.

And a Baileys White Russian or a Snow Day feel very wintery, but not necessarly as glamorous as this drink.

The Poinsettia drink is a great one for an elevated party or a holiday brunch. It feels vibrant, bright, and festive.

The bright ruby red color and decorative garnishes make it perfect around Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years.

Ingredients You’ll Need

You just need a few ingredients and this drink comes together quickly!

Champagne. Don’t feel like you need a high-end bottle of bubbles for a champagne cocktail. Something mid-range and somewhat dry will be the perfect complement to the tart cranberry.

Cranberry Juice. Be sure you look for cranberry juice, rather than cranberry cocktail. Cranberry cocktail has added sugar and other ingredients which can make your Poinsettia overly sweet.

Orange Liqueur. I love Cointreau for this portion of the Poinsettia! It’s the perfect orange flavor and is a great bottle to keep on hand for mixing.

Garnishes. Rosemary and fresh cranberries bring beautiful texture and color as a finishing touch.

First, make sure to chill all of your ingredients the day before you plan on serving.

Wash and prep all of your garnishes so that you have clean, fresh cranberries and individual stems of rosemary.

Shortly before your party, you can line up champagne flutes and add the cranberry juice and Cointreau to the glasses.

Then, as you serve, top each glass with fresh, chilled champagne and you’ve got a perfect Poinsettia every time!
